We are a professional association of music educators, teaching in the school districts of Jefferson County and Lewis County. The area is mostly rural, but has seen much development in the last 20 years. We have one large city school district, and several larger districts impacted by Fort Drum. Some of our schools are K-12 districts covering comparatively large areas of land. We work together to provide festival performance opportunities for our music students. Students meet criteria, prepare challenging repertoire and then perform for their parents and the public. This gives students in smaller schools the chance to sing with numbers and instrumentation that expand their musical horizons.
